SyncML
Only calendar and ‘To do’ lists
can be synchronised between Microsoft Outlook and the Serene
handset. This is because the structure used for synchronising
contacts is optimised for the DECT synchronisation feature.
Synchronisation between the Serene handset
and Microsoft Outlook is done via ‘PIM sync’
in the ‘Application’ menu on the handset. A
Bluetooth® connection (Bluetooth® Serial Port) between
the handset and the computer must exist, and WIDESYNC must
be downloaded from Samsung.com to the computer before synchronisation
is possible.
DECT * compatibility means
the Serene can synchronize the phonebook with a Bang and
Olufsen domestic cordless phone system while docked while
maintaining a personalised Serene phonebook.
Network
Tri-band GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz
GPRS Class 10
Docking Station / Charger
Triangular prism shaped docking station with polished metal
finish. Phone may be placed on station when open or closed.
If closed the phone can be pre-programmed to open every
time a call or message is received.
Serene can be connected to all bases for BeoCom 2 and BeoCom
6000 which can hold more than one handset. *
Colours
Black
Anodised aluminium hinge
Scratch-resistant transparent lacquer finish
Dimensions
64.7 x 69.7 x 23.9 mm

Battery: Li-Ion, 800 mAh

Standby time: up to 250 hrs
* Only the Bang &
Olufsen version of Serene includes a DECT-module in the
docking station, NOT the Samsung version. Synchronisation
of phonebooks is the only possible integration with the
DECT phone systems. Serene does not connect to the DECT
band, and intercom between DECT handsets and Serene is not
possible.
