Ringtone Converter

If you have spent hours searching for free text based ringtones and not had much success, or have found what you're looking for only to then have difficulty entering it into your phone correctly then the ringtone converter will come as something of a relief.

The ringtone converter is designed to run on Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS-X platforms.

The ringtone converter supports just about any make and model of phone available today. Click here to see the current list of phones supported. If you still aren't sure if your phone is compatible, and you have time, why not grab the trial download and see.

We have tried this software on several phone models and it does exactly what it says it does. It takes RTTTL (Ring Tone Text Transfer Language) and converts it into the numbers you need to press on your phone's keypad to input the ringtone. It's simple, as the screenshot below demonstrates.

Ringtone converter site

You can use the converter to convert RTTTL (Ring Tone Text Transfer Language), MIDI, Nokia key press sequences, Motorola 'on screen' format and Nokia Composer ringtones so they work on your phone. With the included ringtones, full rtttl support, the additional ringtone packs, and the composer functions, practically any tune you can think of is available for use on your mobile phone as a ringtone.

The software comes with 100 free ringtones built in, and more can be added using free 'ringtone packs' found throughout the Internet. It explains exactly how to enter the converted ringtones into your mobile phone.

The Windows version of the converter now even allows you to convert midi files into RTTTL format so you can use almost any tune you can think of on your phone. This functionality will be added to the Mac version soon.

There are also guides available on the site to explain exactly how to go about entering a new ringtone into your phone. If a guide is not available on the site you needn't worry as once you have located your phone's ringtone composer you need only follow the instructions given to you on the software screen. Simply enter the keys in the sequence shown by the software.

If you seem to have problems entering the ringtones into your phone or the instructions seem incorrect, try locating your Network provider using the links provided at the Coding Workshop site to see if there is an issue with your phone and provider, and if Coding Workshop are aware of a solution.

You can, as mentioned previously, download a free trial version of the software which is fully functional and, if you like it, you can unlock it online with no further downloads necessary!

Upgrades are free, so if you have an older copy and would like to import midi files just download the latest version. For Polyphonic ringtones and Nokia handsets we suggest you try the Polyphonic Wizard.

For more information or to download the demonstration version just head here. The demonstration version is fully functional but will only convert the beginning of the ringtone.
