Bluetooth®

Bluetooth® is a short-range radio technology aimed at simplifying communications between Net devices and between devices and the Internet. It also aims to simplify data synchronization between Net devices and other computers.

Bluetooth® will enable you to wirelessly connect to any compatible PC or other Bluetooth® enabled device up to ten meters away using a mobile phone such as the Nokia 6310 to the right.

You won't need line of sight to make the connection so you can be more flexible about where you put your mobile phone while connected to the Internet or a network. You will be able to use the phone as a GSM modem.

You will also be able to use a whole host of wireless accessories such as headphones for wireless audio.

Bluetooth's founding members include Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Nokia and Toshiba.
